Shapeshifters in Almere - In collaboration with Kunstlinie
From 5 February onwards, Kunstlinie Almere and Vroom & Varossieau Gallery present the exhibition Shapeshifters, an exhibition about groundbreaking artists that changed the world of street art. Street artists come from different backgrounds, and they all have different methods of expressing themselves. The result of this is that street art comes in many different forms, and the aim of Shapeshifters is to show the raw beauty of the genre and all the different forms it comes in: from murals and sculptures to collectibles and sneakers. The exhibition will feature a wide variety of artists, including LadyPink, ELLE, JDL, Shoe, and Keith Haring. Read the full press release here.
Kunstrai 2022 - 13-18 April 2022
In 2022, Vroom & Varossieau will return to Kunstrai in Amsterdam. After a highly successful edition in 2021, Vroom & Varossieau will represent a fine selection of artists, including Jeremyville, Willem Hoeffnagel, and Alex Face. Kunstrai 2022 will take place from 13 until 18 April in the RAI, so mark this in your agenda! More information will follow soon on the Kunstrai website. We will soon also re-introduce you to Jeremyville, Willem Hoeffnagel, and Alex Face.
Urban Art Fair Paris 2022 - 12-15 May 2022
We will also be back in Paris this year for the Urban Art Fair 2022. The Urban Art Fair is focused on contemporary art and shows all mediums within the genre, from paintings to performance art. The edition last year was one of the first fairs to take place after almost a year of no fairs, and this year we will return with the same energy we brought last year! More details about the Urban Art Fair will follow soon.
"Streets of Jeremyville" at Vroom & Varossieau Gallery - April/May 2022
On top of the works we will show at Shapeshifters and Kunstrai, we will also present the solo exhibition Streets of Jeremyville by Jeremyville. Jeremyville’s art style is characterized by storytelling that is playful, subtle, and cartoonish, which translates well onto a wide variety of mediums such as prints, figurines, and furniture. This versatility has been shown in the many collaborations Jeremyville has been a part of over the years, including Converse, Lacoste, and Swatch. This Streets of Jeremyville series brings to life a world of imaginary Jeremyville characters inspired by the artist’s obser- vations from the streets of his studio in New York and Brooklyn. More information about the exhibition and the exact dates will follow soon.
Fenx solo exhibition at Vroom & Varossieau Gallery - June/July 2022
After the solo show by Jeremyville, we will present a solo show with the French artist Fenx. Loïc Le Floch, better known as Fenx, is a visual artist that moves between the concepts of graffiti artist and gallery artist. After establishing himself on the streets as a graffiti artist and placing tags all around cities, he made his switch to work on canvas and started creating his iconic Playboy works. With the recent swift arrival of NFTs, Fenx asked the question of what could remain of his works if sometimes the algorithm turns out to be imperfect or if the files are damaged. The result is a series of paintings where reality clashes with the abstract of the digital, giving a glimpse of what could be images that only the future may reveal.
